My Brother the Minotaur Launches on Apple TV!

Tune your aerials in to Apple TV and catch our epic and heartwarming new fantasy adventure...

Co-produced with Cartoon Saloon, and now on Apple TV, My Brother the Minotaur is a thrilling mix of folklore, mystery and adventure about a young minotaur – half boy, half bull – found and raised in the human world. With the help of his fiercely loyal human brother, he recruits a bold group of friends to uncover the mystery of his minotaur past and fulfill his destiny, all while battling dark forces determined to see him fail.

Created by Donal Mangan, directed by Maurice Joyce and written by Mark Hodkinson, My Brother the Minotaur arrived on Apple TV on April 24th.

Featuring a stellar cast including newcomers Ely Solan, Billy Jenkins, Luciana Akpobaro and Billie Boullet, alongside established names including Michael Sheen, Brian Cox, Paul Kaye and T’Nia Miller.

My Brother the Minotaur is scored by Christian Henson, perfectly capturing the blend of epic fantasy and human emotion that runs through the storytelling of the show.

Director Maurice Joyce brings a sophisticated cinematic style to every shot, and our writer Mark Hodkinson (who wrote every episode) set the standard with scripts that leaped off the page from day one.

The show was created by Donal Mangan while working as an animator for us on Puffin Rock. We successfuly pitched the idea to Northern Ireland Screen for their Creative Animation programme. Next we partnered with our friends at Cartoon Saloon to co-develop and co-produce, and reunited with many team members from Puffin productions.

The greenlight from Apple brought many years of development, collaboration, perseverance and passion to the next level, working with their amazing Kids team to bring My Brother the Minotaur to life…
